Union: A New Musical

On April 4th, 2018 the eyes of the world will turn to Memphis as thousands gather to remember, embrace, and advance the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. on the 50th anniversary of his assassination.

As part of the commemoration, on April 6th-8th, Clayborn Temple presents three preview performances of “Union: A Musical” and a community conversation that brings together community members, activists, artists, influencers, and civic leaders to discuss the ongoing work of democracy in our city and in our nation.

A MLK50 Tribute (April 1)

On April 1st from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, join us for a free event called “A Woman and Her Music: A MLK50 Tribute,” featuring music by noted African-American composer Earnestine Rodgers Robinson and a screening of the award-winning documentary, “Hidden Treasure,” which tells her amazing story of composing music and her experience of moving into and living in the Lorraine Motel shortly after Dr. King was assassinated there.
